CJ’s Hope for Tomorrow was born from love, loss, and the belief that every pet deserves a fighting chance. What began as one family’s way of honoring their dog, CJ, has grown into a community of people who understand just how deep that bond runs.
When CJ was diagnosed with cancer, his family fought for him with everything they had. After his passing, they turned that pain into purpose, creating a foundation to help other pets receive the care they deserve.
Each member of our board has walked this same road. Every one of them has loved a pet through treatment, felt the heartbreak of diagnosis, and known the weight of doing everything possible to help. That shared experience, and the love behind it, is what guides this foundation forward.
CJ’s Hope for Tomorrow stands as a promise: to honor the animals who’ve given us everything and to help others hold on to theirs a little longer.

CJ’S STORY
CJ was family. Not just in the casual way people say it, but in the truest sense, woven into the daily rhythm of life, the quiet spaces, and every bit of love that filled his home. He came to his family as a first-anniversary gift and grew into the kind of presence that changes what home means.
He was steady, joyful, and a little stubborn. He had perfect timing with his comfort, always appearing beside you when the world felt too heavy. He moved with them through years of growing up, growing older, and growing together, always there, always watching, always reminding them to slow down and stay present.
When CJ was diagnosed with cancer, everything shifted. His family did what most do when they’re out of answers: they fought with love.
It wasn’t easy, but he met every challenge with that same calm spirit that had carried them all those years. When he passed on their 14th wedding anniversary, the same day he first came home, it felt like the world folding in on itself.
Out of that loss came purpose. What began as a single act of giving, donating CJ’s remaining medication, became something larger: a foundation to help other families fighting the same battle. CJ’s Hope for Tomorrow carries his name, but more than that, it carries his spirit, steady, loyal, and full of quiet grace.
Every family helped, every pet given another chance, is a continuation of the love he gave so freely. CJ reminded his family that hope is never lost, it simply changes form.
